Four Hour Classes
Learn to knit in the Fair Isle method, reading charts, choosing colors, how to handle two-strands at once, adjusting tension, catching floats, changing colors, fixing mistakes, creating your own designs, and tips for creating a successful project. Students will knit a beginnger's fair isle hat using worsted weight yarn.
Dates:
Oct 17th Saturday at 12 - 4 pm (one 4-hour class)
Nov 14th & 21st, Saturdays at 2pm (two 2-hour classes)
Homework: cast on and complete ribbing of hat
Recommended designs:
2025 Shetland Wool Week Hat, Baa-ble Hat, Basic Doodle Hat

Worsted Weight Yarn:
100 yards for your Main/Background color
50 yards each in two high contrasting yarn
US 4-6 Circular 16” and DPNs (or magic loop)
(size depends on project / yarn / gauge)
Tapestry needle, scissors, stitch markers
