Learn to knit these cute and easy multiple stripe Helix Hats.

Helix Hats are knit with only one color at a time.  There are no yarns to carry.  No jog in the stripe.  No additional yarns to join or weave in.  Uses only one simple and clever continuous spiral strand for each color from start to finish.  Great for stash busting!

Three styles of hat to choose from:  Beanie, Slouch, or Elvin Stocking Cap (with or without tassle)

Materials:
US 6 and 8 needles, depending on your gauge and desired hat style
Worsted-weight yarn in distinct colors (about 40 yds or more of each color)
Beginners are recommended to knit with three distinct colors.

For the candy-cane style Elvin Stocking Cap with wide stripes, bring two contrasting colors (approx 60-80 yds each).

If using bold colors, always swatch and block to test for bleeding before class.
