Beginning Weaving on a 4-Harness Loom
12-hour Class split over 4 Sessions: 3 Hours once a week for 4 weeks
Instructor:  Lois Gaylord

This four week class introductory is great for students starting out or needing a review of multi-shaft (multi-harness) weaving.  Lois will guide students through all the steps of warping the loom, weaving a variety of fabric structures, and then cover finishing techniques and tips for planning your next project.  The class is divided into four 3-hour weekly sessions.

IN PERSON  12-hour Class over four weeks

Fridays on 8/9, 8/16, 8/23, and 8/30 from 10am - 1pm
or
Mondays on 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, and 9/30 from 1pm - 4pm


Registration Fee:  $300/student
Materials and equipment are NOT included in the registration fee.

Required Skills: 
NONE, perfect for a beginner weaver
Students will benefit from taking Intro to Rigid Heddle Weaving first, but this is not required.

Materials (kits available):
worsted or DK weight yarn in two colors - 200 yds each
mercerized cotton is ideal

4-Harness Loom
shuttles
sley hook
tapestry needle

Warping and winding tools will be available in the Studio to use during class.
