Rigid Heddle Weaving from Start to Finish
7-hour Class split over 2 weeks: 4 Hours and 3 Hours

Rigid Heddle Weaving from Start to Finish is designed for complete beginners who want to learn the all the basics of weaving on this user-friendly loom.  The class will cover the entire weaving process from selecting yarn and reeds sizes, warping the loom, threading the reed, learning tips for good tension, weaving different patterns, and finishing.  Students will warp their loom and weave a sampler piece by the end of the second session, which may be made into mug rug style coasters.  The class is divided into two sessions, a week apart, to allow time for working at home in between sessions.

IN PERSON  7-hour Class over two weeks:

Mon July 22nd at 1-5pm and July 29th at 1-4pm

Sat Aug 10th at 1-5pm and Aug 17th at 2-5pm

Registration Fee:  $175/student
Materials and equipment are NOT included in the registration fee.

NONE, perfect for a beginner

worsted weight cotton in two contrasting solid colors - at least 120 yds each
8-Dent Reed (Sugar & Creme)
10-Dent Reed (Nifty Cotton)

Warping and winding tools will be available in the Studio to use during class.
