Dye your own custom gradient mini-skein set with Tara in the Stranded Studio. 

Tara will guide you through the steps of making your own custom set of 5 mini-skeins of yarn using professional quality weak-acid dyes.

This workshop will provide instruction, supplies, equipment, and creative time for designing a color-scheme for a mini-skein set.

Use of the Studio and all other needed equipment and materials are provided, including:
5 mini-skeins of light-worsted superwash merino wool yarn scoured and soaked (20g each)

Students will be working with professional quality Sabraset Acid Dye in a rainbow of colors.  Sabraset Acid Dyes are designed to permanently dye protein (wool, silk) fibers at a mildly acidic pH, using simple vinegar or citric acid.  Dyes will be pre-mixed in solution to make mixing and selecting color easy.

Students will heat set and wash their own skeins to take home after class.

Safety equipment provided includes nitrile gloves, safety glasses, and aprons.
Please wear clothes that are OK to get messy or stained!
