Build Community and Give the Gift of Crafting
An important part of this Craft Along is also community building and outreach to the allow Food Bank Customers to participate and craft along with the community.  We all know how beneficial knitting and crochet is for relaxation, stress-relief, and improving one's own well-being.  The Edmonds Food Bank will be distributing kits to their customers to join in and knit or crochet mitts.

Cascade Yarns has generously donated 100 skeins of yarn for Food Bank Customers to participate for free!

The pattern has been designed to allow anyone of any skill level to use any type of tools (flat or in the round) to make a pair.  However, many may not have any knitting needles or crochet hooks.

You can Help!  Give-A-Tools-Set
The Give-A-Tools-Set Add-On ($12) will provide knitting needles or a crochet hook, tapestry needle, and stitch markers for a Food Bank Customer.

Donations of Knitting Needles in Size US 8 (straight or circular) or 4.5mm Crochet Hooks from your stash also welcome!

Keep you mitts or donate them!
Wear your mitts while you volunteer and lend a helping hand on these chilly days.  Give them as special gifts with love to family or friends.

Share them with others...  The Edmonds Food Bank will accept donated mitts for their Toy Shop to give to those in need.

Last date to drop off donated mitts at Stranded by the Sea:
Saturday, Dec 13th

Stranded by the Sea will be collecting donated food items for the Edmonds Food Bank for the remainder of the year.
Drop off anytime during shop hours.

We would like to give an extra thank you to Cascade Yarns! They are a local, family-run company and we are grateful to their for their generous support of our community!
