Intro to Tablet / Card Weaving Class is designed for complete beginners. This all day workshop covers the basics of tablet weaving. Topics covered include setting up the tablets, how this type of weaving works and differences from other loom weaving. Students will set up a sample band in the Double Face technique.
Tablet weaving uses special weaving cards to create sturdy woven bands. You may use the cards on their own or with a loom. Cards are a simple and portable weaving tool that can create designs that are beautiful and complex.

Tablet Weaving Cards (pack of 25)

tapestry needle
Please bring with you either a large belt that fits around wait for backstrap style weaving or an inkle loom. Inkle Loom rentals available.
Warping and winding tools will be available in the Studio to use during class.
