Theme 1—Empty Needles* By New Years!
November—December
*the term used is needles but applies to any crafting tool of choice
What are we going to do? All the making! When are we going to do it by? New Years Eve!
Tis the time of year that many of us crafters find ourselves in a whirlwind of making! We have
lofty dreams of finishing all the projects. Many of us plan to give hand crafted/stitched/baked/
painted/etc presents to all of our loved ones. There never seem to be enough hours in the day
to get it all finished. JOIN THE CLUB!!!
At the Empty Needle club we will work as a group to finish all the things. Through
encouragement and planning we will make it to the goal of EMPTY NEEDLES by NEW YEARS!
To celebrate we will even throw a NYE bash!
Theme 2—Frog It! - January
If you are like me, you didn’t have completely empty needles by New Years and that is perfectly
fine! If you are even more like me, you might have WIPs (works in progress) and UFOs
(unfinished objects) piling up in your closet or craft space. Every so often I go through them
and find projects with all the hallmarks of my good intentions. Needles that were MIA, my
favorite stitch markers, project bags, and the yarn I fell in love with at Stranded By the Sea
months ago!
In January with everyone’s focus turning to new resolutions, I find it to be the perfect month to
go through those projects with a mind on organization and goal setting!
I will see if any of the projects (to borrow a phrase) spark joy—like the joy that says yes I want
to finish this project! If not…..rip it, rip it, rip it!
Is the yarn yummy but not loving the pattern? Frog it!
Are those needles needed else where? Frog it!
Did you lose your way in the pattern and you don’t have the head space to figure out where
you are? I can help with that! Bring it to the club and I can sort you out. Still don’t want to finish
it? Frog it!
Did your gauge change? Did you forget what size needles, hooks, or other tool you were
using? Do you just want this project to stop hanging over your head like a dark cloud? FROG
IT!
Theme 3—Love Yourself - February
After doing the work to get empty needles through finishing all the things or frogging them
what will you do next? I have a wonderful idea! Let’s start a selfish project—in the best sense
of the word!
• Buy the yarn at Stranded you’ve been squishing and dreaming about
• Start that pattern you’ve been dying to make
• Use those recently emptied needles—we didn’t expect them to stay empty for long
This month is all about creating something just for you!
More Great Reasons to Join the Club!
Organization and goal settings are two of my passions. However, home life, work, and my
ADHD tend to zap my energy and focus. When we meet on club nights I will give you all my life
hacks and ways that help me stay on track!
Some of the things I look forward to sharing with all of you:
• Goal setting
• Rotating projects
• Fun games I play to keep myself focused
• Bullet Journaling
• Side Quests Count
I hope that you will join the club, bring your own tips and tricks to share and find motivation
and encouragement as we all work towards our goals.

Meet the Maker
If you don’t know me, my name is Bethany Harper (she/her) of SethanyKnits (Facebook/
Instagram). I have been a fiber artist since I was 7 and first learned how to crochet. My passion
is working with yarn through knitting and crocheting. I also love to spin. I have had the
wonderful opportunity of owning a yarn store in the past. After closing, I realized how much I
still love teaching others and inspiring passion in the fiber community! In the past year I have
been able to display my artwork in the community of Edmonds through the Edmonds Art Walk
at Edmonds Vision Center. I was the artist of the month in September and will be for November
of 2024 as well. This summer I entered makes into the Evergreen State Fair for the first time. I
love the spirit of togetherness that the fiber arts creates in makers. I look forward to crafting
with you this winter. See you at the Empty Needles Club!
