Spinning Class: Plying and Finishing Handspun on a Spinning Wheel
One-and-Half-Hour Class
You've spun a single! Now what? Join us for this class to learn techniques for plying yarn on a spinning wheel and finishing your handspun yarn.
Learn to ply a 2-ply and 3-ply yarn on a wheel. Special techniques include a basic 2-ply yarn, chain plying a 3-ply yarn, finishing uneven bobbins or using one single to make a 2-ply yarn with the Andean ply technique. Tips and tricks for successful plying, unusual fibers, and finishing yarns.
Homework: Bring two or three spun singles on bobbins or spindles or wound into center pull balls (at least 1 ounce each)
Bring your own working wheel.
