Spinzilla Spinning Competition
October 5 - 11, 2026
Spinzilla is an old-fashioned spin as many yards as you can style of competition. Spinners from all over the world of every skill level will compete as teams and as individual spinners to see who can spin the most yards from Monday, Oct 5th to Sunday, Oct 11th.
Use a spindle, wheel, eSpinner, or any combination you like.
There are great prizes in every category, Most Yards by a Team, Most Yards by an Individual, Most Yards by a Novice (spinning less than a year), and more!

We are delighted to be able to offer two team choices this year:
Stranded Spinners In-Person and Stranded Spinners Virtual
Priority Registration for our Teams is Open Now ($20):
Team Stranded Spinners In-Person will primarily meet in person.
Tara Roberts will captain.
Team Stranded Spinners Virtual will primarily meet online (for those who are not local to the shop).
Bethany Harper will captain.
We expect both team to intermingle socially. Anyone on either team may participate in any of our socials and online groups. Spinners on both teams may come to any of the in-person socials at the shop and may participate in any of the Zoom sessions and online forums.
We will tally yards for the team competition by the Virtual Team separate from the In-Person Team.
Team Fiber Colorways have been dyed in BFL and Rambouillet in long 8oz continuous braids for competition yardage. We will be updating other spinning fiber choices available online, including undyed fibers and art batts coming soon!
