Intro to Inkle Loom Weaving
4-hour Class (with lunch break)
Instructor: Lois Gaylord
Inkle looms are small looms used to create belts, straps, or trim that may be from 1/4” to 3” wide. These looms are very portable and can be used in your lap or sitting at a table.
This beginner class will teach you the basics of band weaving on an Inkle Loom. Learn how to make heddles, warp the inkle loom, and create the design along the band. Bands can be used as is, such as for a hat band or bookmark, or to enhance textile goods, like bag straps, hang loops, or apron ties. The possibilities are endless.
