Now is the perfect time to plan a Temperature Project for 2025
The basic idea of a temperature project is to knit or crochet a row, square, or stitch pattern each day of the year using colors that change as the temperature changes. When you are done, you have a visual representation of how warm & cold the weather was throughout the year.
We have Starter Kits with color code maps all ready for the cast on!
Go big with a blanket, start small with a snake or dog draft stoppers, or split the difference with a colorful scarf or shawl! Find inspiration and pattern ideas in our Temperature Ravelry Bundle.
Our current favorites are the knit blanket by taliesin that uses one color for daytime and another for overnight temps and a stitch count based on the time for sunset or the crocheted Temperature Snake pattern by June Gilbank that would make a friendly draft stopper. These are perfect projects for stash busting.

Each session will start with a planned lesson to introduce a new technique or skill, followed by project help, and social knitting time!
Project help is available for whatever you might be working on and does not have to be related to the lesson. Bring your knitting project and ask whatever questions you might have.

A theme-focused Make-A-Long hosted by @sethanyknits!
At the Empty Needle Club we will work as a group through encouragement and planning to finish all the things. Knitters, crocheters, and makers of all skill levels are welcome.
Empty Needles By New Years Potluck Party
Tuesday, Dec 31st from 6pm to Midnight
To celebrate we are throwing a NYE bash! Everyone (whether you are part of the club already or not yet) is invited to join us on Tuesday night, Dec 31st from 6pm to midnight. We will have yarn-themed games and a potluck. Feel free to bring a treat or appetizer to share. Don't forget the projects you finished this year for show & tell and your empty (or almost) needles & hooks to find new projects! Non-yarnies and significant others are welcome.
