Have you been wanting to knit your first sweater? Are you looking for an easy project that is more than a scarf or hat? This straight forward pullover knitted sweater may be just for you! Join us for our first Knit Along project and make a sweater of your own.
The Weekender
Andrea Mowry
This popular pullover worsted weight sweater is knit in the round from the bottom up.
It has lovely texture, faux seams, drop shoulders, and some positive ease that is flattering for many body types and in a style that works for the office or out a weekend hike in the woods.
The pattern is versatile, so you can make it your own.
The sample in the picture, knit by Susan Stone, is on display in the shop if you would like to come by to see it in person.
The Knit Along (KAL) is an instructor-led group project that is free to attend for all customers that buy their project yarn from our shop.
We will have a Cast On Party in March, a couple of Help Sessions in April, and a Cast Off / Finished Objects Potluck in May (see dates below). Susan Stone will be on hand for each session to provide instructions and tips so everyone may knit a successful Weekender Sweater. If you can't make a session, you may still participate and join in the fun. Feel free to work on your own and at your own pace.
Weekender KAL Dates:
Cast On Party - Friday, March 22nd from 6pm to 8pm
Help Session - Friday, April 12th from 6pm to 8pm
Help Session - Saturday, April 27th from 1pm to 3pm
Cast Off Potluck - Friday, May 10th from 6pm to 8pm

We recommend knitting this versatile pullover sweater in worsted weight
Made of 100% Fine Highland Wool
It comes in 21 bright cherry colors in Woolstok 50g (123yds) hanks and
a selection the most popular colors in triple-sized Woolstok 150g (370yds) hanks.
We have several colors in "sweater quantity" already in stock. Also, we will be making a special order before the KAL kick off, so that everyone can get exactly the colors.
Customers that purchase or preorder their yarn and pattern in the Shop by Wed 3/13 will receive 20% off their selected Weekender Knit Along project yarn (participants may select yarn other than Woolstok yarn for their KAL).

Pre-Event Homework:
Participants should pre-purchase yarn, pattern, or other desired supplies.
Before the first session, please complete a gauge swatch in stockinette stitch that is at least 4" square (5" is better) from your selected project yarn.
