Our first batch of in-person knitting classes has been updated on our schedule. We have several knitting classes for beginners and other special skills for experienced knitters. We are sure you will find something to learn and enjoy working on projects with a group again! Class sizes are small and masking is optional.

Learn to Knit Group ClassGreat for novices that have never knit before. Learn the basics of knitting, including how to case on, work knit and purl stitches, combining basic stitches to form textural patterns, binding off, and fundamentals like how to select yarn, needles, read patterns. $40 for One 2-Hour Basic Skills Class:

It’s Magic - Double Knitting
Learn the magic of knitting, a colorwork technique that creates a double-layer fabric with knit stitches on both sides that is reversible, skooshy, and has no floats! Learn how to follow charts, build reversible patterns, and master double-knit increases and decreases.

Traditional Selbu Mittens
Selbu Mittens are traditional stranded colorwork mittens based on a renowned pattern from Norway. The two-color designs are often intricate with bold shapes on the back of the hands, such as eight-bladed roses or stars. In this two-part class, students will learn how to knit Selbu mittens from start to finish, choosing from patterns by local designer, Leslie Hamacher.

Better Fitting Sweaters
Have you ever knit a sweater and end up something too boxy or too tight or simply unflattering?
In this two-part class, students will learn how to choose the right pattern, size, find proper measurements, “read” pattern schematics, make adjustments, and more. Begin your sweater and then return for the second session for helpful evaluation and next steps to successfully finish a great fitting sweater!

Learn to Knit Socks with Felted Fuzzy Feet
Learn to knit socks by knitting felted slipper-socks. In this two-part class, students will learn how to cast on, work in-the-round AND flat, increase, decrease, turning heels, kitchener stitch, and best practices for felting in the washer. These are great for beginners, as most visible mistakes disappear in the felting, plus they are easily customizable as they are a plain canvas.
$100 for Two 2-Hour Special Skills Class:

Introduction to Brioche
Brioche is a two-layered reversible fabric that resembles ribbing with two right-sides, but the two sides are knitted one after the other, instead of all in the same row and by using a brioche-knit stitch combined with a special yarnover-slip stitch.
